With Gratitude
Our thanks to all of the singers and musicians who performed on the recordings. We are humbled by their talent and very fortunate to collaborate with them.
Melody Rain was not the original name for these recordings; The original choice was The Village. That name was abandoned due to trademark issues. Much gratitude to Legal Corps and Professors Renee Clark, Patrick Gallagher and Brett Klein, as well as the students of the trademark clinic at Mitchell Hamline School of Law for their patient and ongoing guidance on trademark issues and various other matters. Thanks to students Ryan Baker; Tracy Williams; Shawnterry Cato; Moneeza Ebueng ; Sawyer Emory; Xiong Tu; David Floyd; Naoko Koyano; Stephen McPaul; James Swendsen and others.

- Aaron Mader (Doomtree Records)
- Joe Mabbot (Hideaway Studios)
- The late Burt Bacharach for a phone call of encouragement when I needed it most. That call probably kept me in the game rather than giving up on my musical aspirations.
- The late Maurice White for giving me the green light to send my songs/ recordings for possible use in Earth, Wind and Fire recordings.
- Krystle Delgado and Delgado Entertainment Law
- Mary Mancini, Elektra Records; Kim Bacon, Atlantic Records and others for allowing me to submit recordings for possible placement in recordings by their artists.
- Jack Moore and the folks at KTWN Radio, for believing in me years ago and for playing "my" recordings.
- I have some DJs to thank for their kindness and willingness to review my previous recordings: Dick Ervastie, Paul Geiger, Pat McKeever, Alan Stone, Jim Dandy, True Don Blue; Mike Solomonson.
- Dik Hedlund, sound engineer, for his patience and teaching me so much about music production when I was as a "green as can be" teenager and young adult.
Jim Larson, Mark Sylvers, Chad Magnusson my old bandmates.
- Monte Miller and Brad Eggin (past legal guidance)
- My late friend David Bradley for helping to scout out talent.
- Duane "Profit" Smith, for sharing musician contact information
- Gary Goldstein; for providing me with shelter when my friend, Jim Steer and I, were 17 and 18 years old respectively, needing a place to stay in LA after hitchhiking there.
- Western Studios, LA , for "embracing" me when I was a "green as can be" teenager, and introducing me to some people whose names I had previously only read on album covers, though their music was well-known to me and just about everybody else. That lit the fire under my feet. Within a year I began producing studio recordings.
- Wade Clark for preparing my professional lead sheets and teaching me so much over the past few decades.
- Stephanie McDonald for two lyric suggestions on Ball of Fire.
- My dad and mom, Hank and Winnie Stanowski. My first music teachers and life mentors.
